Our approach to protecting children's dental health and giving them a good first experience with the dentist.
What is pediatric dentistry?
Pediatric dentistry (pedodontics) looks after the dental health of children during the baby-tooth and mixed-dentition stages. The aim is not only to treat, but to help the child trust the dentist.
Which treatments are offered?
- Regular check-ups and monitoring of tooth development
- Preventive care (fissure sealants, fluoride)
- Treatment of decay in baby teeth
- Assessment after an injury
The first appointment
At the first appointment, no demanding procedure is done; the aim is for the child to get to know the room, meet the dentist and have a look inside the mouth. Parents receive advice on daily care and nutrition.
Tips for parents
- Don't scare your child with negative talk about the dentist.
- Try to brush together and make it a game.
- Give sugary food in limited amounts at mealtimes, not constantly.
